Robert Carr was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Buffalo. At the young age of seven, he began private lessons in classical music, which he continued through school. His musical influences are Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones and Ramsey Lewis.
After high school Robert joined the United States Military. While working as a communications engineer, Robert began creating and writing music. During his military career he performed in various Funk and Jazz bands that he developed. In 1984 his band was selected to tour “USO” Germany. Once completing his military career Robert moved to Georgia working in studios between Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia, sharpening his valuable music skills, production, and engineering abilities. Robert has performed shows with Lou Rauls, Barry White, Ashford & Simpson, and Al Jarreau .
His passion now is Smooth, Contemporary, and Traditional jazz. Keeping himself in touch with the audience, he gauges volume levels and music preferences accordingly. Robert has hours of songs from upbeat jazz to easy listening.
Robert’s musical genius skills have made him a success in the business, yet he remains a humble man. His diverse skills include producing R&B, Rap, Hip Hop, Gospel, Country, Acoustic, Rock &Roll and Jazz (his love) which he clearly expresses himself in his self produced album Jazzano.
