Cat5 Band

The Cat5 Band is a group of professional musicians who have come together with the common goal of providing the best music possible to audiences all over the world. 

Meet the band: 

Jerry Thomas West is an award winning artist, vocalist, guitarist of 24 years. He has played with bands such as the Band of Oz and the 80s Rock Band, SugarCreek. He has contributed his amazing voice to hits including “Somewhere Over The RainBow” and “Build Me Up.” Jerry has won multiple Cammy Awards including “Vocalist of the Year” and “Instrumentalist of the Year”.  

Camron Dudley, contributes to the Cat5 Band as a vocals, drummer, and percussionist. Camron, formally of the band Jim Quick and Coastline, won the CBMA “Instrumentalist Of The Year” Award in 2014. He attended College in Elon NC where he studied jazz and was a member of the All State Band. 

Glen Tippett, is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the Cat5 Band. He won multiple Cammy Awards during his tenure of 16 Years with Jim Quick and Coastline including 2 “Instrumentalist of the Year” Awards in 2008 and 2015. He sung the lead vocals on the hit song remake of “Something Like Olivia.” Glen resides in the greater Myrtle Beach area.  

Hugh Blanton contributes his vocals and bass guitar talents to the Cat5 Band. He is a Multi-Cammy Award Winning artist with many accolades, including his time as an original member of the Entertainers. During his time with the Breeze Band, he was a recipient of Cammy Award, “Song of the year,” and he won “Instrumentalist of the Year” in 2017 during his stint with Jim Quick and Coastline. His resume also includes time with Foxfire, Spare Change, Embers, David Caudle, Emily Minor and he toured the nation with Unknown Hinson.  

Tim Sidden plays keyboards, harmonica, and sings with the Cat5 Band. When he’s not with Cat5, you can find Tim performing with fellow beach band, Hip Pocket. In 2018, he released the Song “Carolina Queen” which topped beach music charts. Tim’s credits include a 14 year journey the famously known Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach SC, and he has toured with acts including Rhett Akins, Daryle Singletary, John “Bo Duke” Schneider, T. Graham Brown, Tom “Luke Duke’ Wopat, Jimmy Fortune, Grayson Hughes and many others. Tim Currently co-owns Sand-City Productions in North Myrtle Beach SC.
