Aris Quiroga Nieto is a teacher, composer and concert classical guitarist. A native of Bogotá Colombia, he studied at National University of Bogotá, and the conservatory of music in Madrid.
He has soloed with the Colombia Philharmonic Orchestra the Concierto of Antonio Vivaldi and Fernando Carulli. He took master classes with Abel Carlevaro, Oscar Giglia, Michael Lorimer, Andres Segovia, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Pepe and Angel Romero.
Aris’s most famous performances were in Spain at national radio and television networks, recitals in Madrid, Asturias, Oviedo and Jijon. In Colombia, he performed a concert for the Colombian President at San Carlos Palace with the Philharmonic Orchestra, National Television Bogotá, National University of Bogotá, Colombo German Alliance, Colombo-French Alliance, Colombo-Brazilian Institute, Aruba, and Netherlands Antilles. In addition, Aris has appeared in concert at the House of Culture, made five performances on television, and was instructor at the music association of Aruba called “Adaima”.
Aris has made an appearance at the Cypress College Orange county, State University of Long Beach, El Camino College, and Brand Library in Glendale, California, and Evening Concert at KLON National Public Radio. He was an instructor at Joslyn Center in Los Angeles and at Southwest Museum.
He has been seen performing in major Miami hotels such as Doral Spa, Biltmore Hotel, Sonesta Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel and Grand Bay Hotel, and The Center of the Fine Arts, the Historical Museum, and the Condado Plaza Wyndham Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Aris has been teaching at the Community School of the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has been performing, for Bank of America (at the Founders Hall), Wachovia Bank (at the Atrium), Arts and Science Council, Marriott Hotel, the Ballantyne Resort, Mint Museum, live performance at 89.9 WDAV classical radio station in Charlotte in a program called the Main Street Sessions.
