Asheville Junction is a bluegrass/Americana band from the high country of North Carolina. Their lively, entertaining shows feature hot fiddlin’, vocals, harmonies and much more. Folks find themselves singing, clapping, and toe-tappin’ along to the music.
Asheville Junction formed when mother-daughter duo Tierra and Maria Raiti moved to Asheville and joined up with long-time local musicians Brad Pope on upright bass, Tim Comstock on mandolin and Ken Sager on dobro.

Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Bluegrass & Americana
Q. How many pieces do you typically play as and what instruments are they?
A. Our full band is four pieces with fiddle, guitar, bass, and mandolin or dobro instruments, with female and male vocals and harmonies.
Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. The core group is four musicians, but we can scale down to a duo or any number between two and five, to fit the client’s needs. Any of these configurations would still include the fiddle, guitar, and female vocals and harmonies.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. There’s not much in this world that is more important than connecting with others, and music can reach across language and culture to move us deeply like no other medium. To help folks laugh, feel, enjoy the moment together, dance or get carefree for a bit through our rhythm and song, this is what we love to do and why we’re in the music business!
Q. Where are you located?
A. Asheville, NC.
Q. Do you travel?
A. We are routinely willing to travel within about a two-hour driving radius from Asheville (Charlotte, Greenville, etc.). We are happy to consider further travel distances, depending on the details.
Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. Our shows are geared for folks to have a fun and entertaining experience. We tailor our music and presentation to match the venue and audience, from large festivals on a street stage, to providing background music for a cocktail hour, and everything in-between. We’ve played many state and county festivals, outdoor concerts, music venues, dances, weddings, corporate and private events and more. Clients are thrilled with the enthusiastic response to our music and ease of working with us. We routinely get rehired and referred.
Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?
A. We have a sound sound system to provide and operate for you. We do not currently have lights.
