North Carolina native Trip Rogers has been entertaining audiences on the east coast of the US for most of his life. A guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer by trade and passion, Trip seamlessly moves among many musical genres with his trademark high energy, skill, and humor.

The soundtrack of his life began when Ronnie Van Zant said, “Turn it up!” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s southern rock and Eric Clapton’s guitar-driven blues laid the foundation for Trip’s signature guitar style. Rock and blues favorites, along with the story-laden songs of Scotland, Ireland, and Appalachia, are brought to life by Trip’s dynamic stage presence.

From supporting international artists to engaging school children, Trip is at home on any stage. Over the years, he has shared the stage with artists such as Leon Russell, Molly Hatchett, Billy Joe Shaver, Hal Ketchum, and Fred Eaglesmith, and has performed in concert halls and at fairs and festivals all along the east coast.

Whether performing as a solo artist or with one of his many projects, Trip delivers the right show for the right audience.

Trip Rogers Band FAQs

Q. What style of music do you play?

A. Classic rock favorites from the ’60s through the ’90s.

Q. How many pieces are typically in the band and what instruments are they?

A. It’s a trio, with guitar, upright bass, and drums.

Q. Do you play in other configurations?

A. I also perform as a solo singer/guitarist, and can add my bassist for a duo act as well.

Q. Why did you become a professional musician?

A. I have pursued music as a passion and vocation since my early teens.  It’s literally all I’ve ever wanted to do.  Live musical performances have an effect on people that is completely unique, and I love providing that.

Q. Where are you located?

A. In the Charlotte area.

Q. Do you travel?

A. Yes.

Q. Why should an event professional book you?

A. I know my primary job is to enhance an event. I do my best to make the presenter’s job easy. I am an entertainer and stage personality as much as I am a musician, and my bandmates are just as professional and seasoned as I am. We intuitively know when to draw the crowd in and involve them, and also when to lay back and concentrate on enhancing the event. It’s apparent from the first note that we love what we do.

Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?

A. We can provide our own sound, but not lights.
