Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. We book as a full band, but can cut down as small as an acoustic duo for things like cocktail hour and other special situations.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. For me, it was that chance to express myself through music. To be able to interact and communicate with people using the universal language of song is incredibly gratifying. You can see people literally light up when “their” song is played. Their whole demeanor can change is just a few seconds, then they are either on the dance floor having a great time, or they are singing along with you (or both). I won’t lie, I light up too when I’m playing my favorites!
Q. Where are you located?
A. Charlotte, NC.
Q. Do you travel?
Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. Having been in the business for over 25 years, Coming Up Brass knows that the customer comes first. We’re not the type of band that has a show which we repeat all year long. No, every time we perform we customize our show to fit that customer’s specific likes and needs. How do we do that? Well, our experience and professionalism do help, but regular communications and interaction with the customer is the key. In additional to ensuring our performance is exactly what your guests desire, our 10 musicians will be delivering a sound that other bands just cannot match, and every note is live! Your guests will be dancing from the first song to the last.
Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?
