Sisters April & Megan Dean both started playing violin at a very young age. Their love quickly blossomed for playing for others, so they decided to continue to grow in that area.
What started out as just 2 sisters and 2 instruments ended up to be so much more, and they have been excited to share this passion with others.

Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Our classically trained professional musicians specialize in covers of modern music. We also love the classical standards, so you can choose either style – or mix the two! We offer bluegrass and jazz groups as well. Everything from Bach to The Beatles, to Guns ’N Roses, to Ed Sheeran.
Q. How many songs do you typically play & what instruments do you play?
A. During a wedding ceremony, we typically play 10-12 pieces as background music while your guests are being seated. We also customize a program for family to be seated, a song for your bridal party, a song for the bride, and a recessional once the happy couple is announced! We sometimes play for the cocktail hour, dinner music, or the reception as well. Our repertoire list offers hundreds of song choices.
Q. What configurations do you offer?
A. We offer solos, duets, trios, and quartets, and we even offer a small string orchestra. We customize our packages to fit your vision. Our most popular instruments are violin, cello, guitar, piano, harp, bagpipes, and trumpet.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. Deans’ Duets began as a sister-duo while April and Megan were in high school. Throughout college and beyond, we began to collaborate with other musicians and to curate a sound which was a unique blend of classical and modern. Music has always been a fun creative outlet for us, and along the way, we majored in music and became professional musicians!
Q. Where are you located?
A. We travel throughout the southeastern United States. Most of our musicians are located in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, Greenville, SC, Columbia, SC, and Charleston, SC.
Q. Do you travel?
A. Yes! We travel mostly throughout the Southeastern United States but are willing to travel anywhere.

Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?
A. We have the capability to provide amplification for our instruments. We also offer lapel microphones and standing microphones for officiants, speakers, singers, etc. We do not provide lighting.
