Friends Helping Friends
March 25th marked the third public performance I had the opportunity to attend after starting with Key Signature. 7 Sharp 9 was to perform in Downtown Matthews from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This eventful day I met all the people necessary to make the concert happen. This included our sound techs, our clients, and the band. It was a day spent with conversing with each party to ensure that the event would be executed smoothly. During the day we had lunch with Specialized Sound and Lights and later grabbed food with the town and Chris. Everyone enjoyed each others presence, with conversations ranging from future goals to the latest HBO hit TV show.
After seeing the relationships Brandon had with all parties, I came to the realization that the company’s relationships aren’t just contractual. The relationships I saw surpassed that of your typical business relationship. I recognized that those we work with aren’t just clients or musicians, but friends. Seeing the events come together in real time so far is my favorite part of the job. Seeing the friendships between our company and those we coordinate with helped me learn what it means to be apart of the KSE family.
Being in the people business first means that building relationships with both our clients and musicians is Key Signature’s first priority. Since starting at Key Signature I’ve noticed that it is the longstanding friendships that the company has cultivated that has contributed to the company’s success. Whether it be hanging out at events or grabbing lunch, the company has managed to form some lasting connections. Joining the team truly meant joining a family of musicians and event professionals. After getting to know some of the KSE family came the realization that strong friendships are at the foundation of the company. We are simply friends helping friends.
