Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Iconic female-fronted hits from 60s to current including pop, rock, country, R&B, Bbues, jazz & funk
Q. How many pieces do you typically play as and what instruments are they?
A. Standard setup is a 7-piece band with 3 female lead singers, drummer, bassist, guitarist, and keyboardist. Additionally, we can add another male lead singer, guitarist and saxophonist.
Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. Yes, occasionally we can scale it up as explained in the 2nd question, or we can scale it down for more intimate or “unplugged” setup with 3-5 band members.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. My personal involvement in music is much deeper than just producing, managing and owning LEVEL X Band. My (band owner, Dario Da Rosa) musical career started in 1972 in former Yugoslavia in Europe, where at tender age of 7 years old I performed classical music and played classical guitar on National TV and Radio stations. Passion and love for music quickly become my main focus, and at age 15 I became the youngest guitarist and sound engineer/ producer for a national TV Jazz and Chamber Orchestra for New Years Eve Program in Sarajevo in former Yugoslavia. In 1983 I composed and performed song “Olimpijski Bijeli Sport” (White Olympic Sport) for 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo where legendary John Denver performed “Just A Dream Away” at the opening ceremony. In 1984 I founded “Da Rosa Music International” and started writing and recording music for local, national and international artists. 1992 civil war forced me to leave my country and continue my music journey all over the World. I started working in Switzerland and Germany and I continued to study music performance and sound engineering and become a team member of legendary “Research Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics- IAB” in Oberursel – Frankfurt, Germany. In 1993 I started collaboration with several major European record labels and recording studios as a talent scout & AR and quickly become involved in performing, recording and/or producing hundreds of projects as a “ghost performer, writer and producer” for a several legendary names in music industry. In 1998 I moved to United States and continued my new musical journey. I started as sound engineer and producer at Malibu Recording Studio in High Point, NC. In 1999 I discovered incredibly talented young lady and recorded and produced her first ever family Gospel Project at her grandmother’s church. Her name is Fantasia Burrino and I hope you might heard of her stellar career. In 2001 I founded “Galaxia Entertainment Institute” and started educational programs for entertainment and recording technologies. I was head engineer and in-house producer for legendary Gospel recording studio “Reflections” in Charlotte, NC from 2002 to 2004. 2004-2008 I moved to New York City and worked mostly with jazz artist and student projects from Berkley College of Music. Ever since I picked up my very first guitar at age of 5, I’ve strived to explore, discover and learn something new. In that never-ending journey I’ve learned to play over 20 instruments, speak 6 languages, traveled and performed on 5 continents, founded and owned 5 companies, created 3 brands, invented several products and technologies, being married and divorced and raised 3 sons, 2 of my own and 1 step son. I am proud grandfather of an amazing 4 year old boy and eternal student of music, art, life, love and faith in God. This journey is still going strong…

Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. My presentation is unique, including percussion backup and loop machine, which gives me more of a band feel. I have been told that my voice is my best instrument, and that I play people’s favorite songs! I have a wide variety of songs from most every genre and style, because I grew up listening to all styles of pop music – blues, soul, classic rock/country/psychedelic rock, New Wave, etc. Because of my vast knowledge of music, I enjoy focusing on deep cuts, B-sides, and songs that other musicians don’t cover often. My entire repertoire consists of around 700 songs, so I have enough material to play for days without repeating! Also, that means that I have something for everyone (within my style range)! I encourage people to read my Song List and customize their event!
