Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Contemporary Bluegrass and Gospel music.
Q. How many pieces do you typically play as and what instruments are they?
A. Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Bass with three-part harmony vocals.
Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. No, we perform as a full group for every performance.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. We love the music and enjoy performing.

A. Huntersville, North Carolina.
Q. Do you travel?
A. Yes, Southern Express does travel, but we try to limit our travel to 150 miles from Huntersville. Adequate compensation can increase the travel limit.
Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. Southern Express has been playing together for over 40 years, recorded 3 CDs, 3 Cassette Tapes and played almost every venue there is. The band envelops the audience with a mix of music and verbal banter. We were the opening act for the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Charlotte in March, 2019. We have played at the Carmel Country Club, the Ballantyne Country Club, The Randy Travis Tribute, wineries, churches, fairs and private parties.
Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?
A. We provide our own sound equipment including mics, monitors, mains, a digital mixer and a sound engineer. We do not provide lighting.
