Austin McNeill FAQs
Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Country/Rock
Q. How many pieces do you typically play as and what instruments are they?
A. I typically play solo acoustic guitar with vocals. My full band is a 4-piece, consisting of 2 guitars, drums, and bass.
Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. Yes, I can scale the band down to a trio or duo.
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. I became a professional musician because music has always been something that guided me through life. Good times, bad times, and everything in between. At the age of 5, I began singing in church choir and have been in love with singing ever since. Music has the power to speak people’s truth who otherwise don’t know how. Music also has the power to bring people together in such a divisive world. My mom was a musician when I was a kid and exposed me to all types of great music. During high school I played in a contemporary church band which gave me the “stage bug.” I would often think to myself, “what if these were my songs that people were singing along to and enjoying this much?” Anytime I see a big concert now, I look around and see myself being the one on stage performing for thousands of people. I guess you could say music is something that I have always chased and given myself to. Thankfully it has chased and given back to me as well.
Q. Where are you located?
A. Charlotte, NC.
Q. Do you travel?
A. Yes, I will travel for gigs. No limit for distance if the budget makes sense.
Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. My band would make a great fit because we have years of experience and have played some very large stages. Opening for the likes of Dustin Lynch, Lainey Wilson, Kip Moore, and Maddie and Tae during CMA fest in Nashville. We play music that people enjoy listening to no matter the setting. From my original songs to timeless covers, we are a sure bet to have a good time. My original music is heavily influenced by country/rock/blues greats who came before me. Through my music I tell stories that people can relate to and seem to be very receptive of. We offer high energy as well as more relaxed vibes depending on the event and setting.
Q. Do you have the capability of providing your own sound & lights?
A. Yes.
