Q. What style of music do you play?
A. Indie americana folk; instrumentation across genres.
Q. How many pieces do you typically play as and what instruments are they?
A. 2-Piece includes 2 lead vocals with guitar and mandolin, kick drum, hi-hat/tamborine, and other percussion.
Q. Do you play in other configurations?
A. Yes; falllift additionally performs as a 3-5 piece band using any/all of -Stand up bass-Violin-Keys/vocals*Steven Hall performs solo (looping guitar & vocals, use of percussion)
Q. Why did you become a professional musician?
A. Steven – music has done wonders for my conscious expansion since beginning at age 5 on piano. Age 13; commence guitar, drums, and vocals. It became a spiritual journey performing for 6 years in my church. College took a turn towards a regular societal role as I pursued and finished my degree in electrical engineering. Though I felt it necessary to finish, I had already decided years before that music was my chosen path. It’s what I do best, it’s therapy, it’s meditation, it’s expression, it’s not crunching numbers at a desk in an office, and most importantly it moves other people in positive ways.Micah – To put it simply, it’s the only thing I’ve ever loved doing. I’ve been singing and performing since I was a child and have done other things along the way, but anytime I stepped away from music, I started to feel restless and unfulfilled. It’s my best form of communication and connection, and there’s something really special about pouring your heart into something and sharing it with people who can see themselves in the art. It takes both an audience and an artist to create a performance. I feel dedicated to cultivating that connection during my lifetime.

Q. Do you travel?
A. Yes, as far as outer space (seriously).
Q. Why should an event professional book you?
A. We are professional and flexible, with a focus on curating the best atmosphere for the event when we perform. We are happy to work with sound engineers and crews as well as plenty capable of running our own sound and providing appropriate equipment. At the end of the day, we want those hiring us to feel like we were the easiest part of the event to coordinate and we aim to elevate the experience of everyone involved. We can cross a broad range of genres, can be present as a duo or fill a space with up to 5 musicians, learn specific songs to make an event uniquely special, and use our years of touring to read a room and pivot when necessary.
