Have you ever thought of booking a national touring artist for a private concert? We have.
In our experience, clients are typically interested in local or regional musicians (like Mike Ramsey or Reggie Sullivan Band) for their events. But, national names like Eric Gales and John Mayall are still worthy of consideration, and it’s more likely your guests already like them. Continue reading for more information about these two legendary blues musicians.
Eric Gales – Electric Guitarist, Vocalist
Eric Gales is arguably one of the best modern blues guitarists alive. If you don’t believe us, just listen to how he rips through this “Voodoo Child (Slight Return)” medley.
We had the pleasure of producing a concert with Mr. Gales for a client back in August 2019. In short, it ended up being one our favorite concerts in our company’s history. Gales’ showmanship is simply off the charts, but he’s more than just a great musician. For instance, he bookended his already fantastic performance with a message of unity, peace and positivity to the audience, and was as kind as can be off the stage as well. Therefore, we 100% recommend his 6-string expertise for any event that calls for masterful blues playing and soulful vocals.
John Mayall, OBE – Guitarist, Keyboardist, Harmonicist
You may recognize the name John Mayall, OBE, from his band John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers. For context, the Bluesbreakers served as an incubator for some of the greatest rock and blues musicians in history. As a result of this environment, icons like Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and Mick Taylor launched massively successful careers of their own.
Despite his culture-defining achievements, we remember working with Mayall fondly. He was incredibly easy to work with and very kind as well. Most importantly, he put on an amazing and fun show.
